Valediction - Part 6
Title: Valediction (Part 6 of 6 + Epilogue)
Rating: R Language, violence
Warnings: Angst. Oh, and then? More angst. * Major Character Death *
Disclaimer: I own nothing except my thoughts, and even then sometimes, I rent.
Complete: Yes
General Summary: Canon thru 509(ish), right down to some of the scenes/dialogue directly from the show. Some just happen in a slightly different time line. Because what if Brian realized what he was missing before the bombing? What if he changed just one thing, and that changed everything - the butterfly effect gone mad.

Author's note: And so we come to the end of the story. I never dreamed when I started this in January that I'd still be writing it come September December. (see Epilogue. Oy.) There will be a short epilogue up on the weekend   one of these days soon, but in the meantime, thanks so much to those who took a chance on a death!fic and let me know you were reading. Your comments and encouragement mean more than I can say.  ~ q_dicted

As always, feedback is appreciated!

heartbroken....why would you write that? The writing was good, but he was "Brian Kinney, for fuck's sake". How could you!!

Hi, and thanks for commenting. I know death!fic isn't for everyone (especially when it's about Brian) but sometimes a good, sad story is cathartic. Maybe that's why soap operas are so popular, lol. Why would I write it? I guess because it's a subject/story and couldn't find very much, so I listened to the voices in my head and went for it *g* Fortunately there are hundreds (thousands) of sexy/funny/hot/cheerful stories out there as an antidote!

Grrr! Craig...

Yet it was the image of Deb, standing silently beside Brian’s grave that he would carry with him forever. Indomitable, ageless, invincible Debbie. But he saw the shadow of a grief too deep for tears in her eyes and the way she seemed to shrink into Carl as they stood there. Watching her say goodbye to the man she considered her second son, Justin saw a glimpse of the frail old woman Debbie Novotny would one day become. He’d gone and hugged her then and let her hold him for a long time. Maybe he even held on a little longer than she did.

Don't know why. But loved this part.

Craig is the one person who is beyond redemption in my eyes. At least Joan did what she did because of her beliefs - Craig truly was a monster.

Thanks so much for the comments - I appreciate them very much. Hope you enjoy the epilogue.

Sorry for the tears, but very grateful for the comment and the compliment. Thank you so much. I hope you found the epilogue, too!

And I was thinking that I don't have any more tears... Once again... I'm so proud of your Justin!

It took a lot for Justin to finally be able to tell Michael about Brian's last moments. I think he had to forgive both Michael and himself before he could truly fulfill his promise to Brian.
